  • State Representative Richard E. Hammel (D-Mt. Morris Twp.) was chosen by his Democratic colleagues on Tuesday, Nov. 9, to serve as House Democratic Leader for the 2011-2012 Legislative session. The Genesee County lawmaker, who is currently finishing his second term in the House, seeks to make creating jobs and protecting residents his top priorities as the House Democrats’ new leader.
